To give parents, caregivers and educators a publication focused on their specific needs. Many parents don't have the time to page through general-interest publications, looking for articles or advertisements that may pertain to their children or family life. They need a well-organized, easy-to-read publication that caters to their needs and offers the local, child-centered information they want to read. We began publishing in early 2006 as West County Kids and have grown over 300 percent in less than two years. In August 2007, we changed our name to St. Louis Kids to reflect our expanded distribution to the entire St. Louis metro area. Founded by a mom with a background in publishing and business, St. Louis Kids is independently owned and published in Chesterfield, Mo.
