Longmeadow Resue Ranch is hosting its annual Spring Fling
for families on April 20. The fun includes an up close look at the Longmeadow Rescue Ranch horses, professional riding demonstrations, a tour of the state-of the art horse farm and animal rehabilitation facility, wagon rides, and lots more.
Watching a full moon rise over the Shaw Nature Reserve is quite the sight! Take a 2 hour stroll through evening and into the early night. Sunset will occur around 7:20, and will be followed by moonrise at 8:02. Apart from viewing this natural spectacle, you will also learn about crepuscular and nocturnal animals. In addition, we will play a series of games (fun for adults too!) that test your senses.
Is your child looking to discover the world of horses, dive into a scuba sampler or reveal hidden talents? This summer promises to be jam packed with fun and fabulous activities. Camp session lengths vary from 3-days/2 nights to two weeks. Some programs we offer include the Little Medical School, Junior Vet, and a special dance camp with the Lindenwood Lions.
Great Circle’s Meramec Adventure Learning Ranch is once again offering a summer camp for kids ages 7 to 17 who are on the autism spectrum. This camp was created to give kids with autism the opportunity to spend a positive, fun time involved in adventure and outdoor activities and to inspire growth in awareness, self-efficacy and social skills. The two, five-day camps are scheduled for July 22-26 and July 29-August 2.
Washington University in St. Louis Baseball hosts a week-long baseball day camp in which boys and girls will learn baseball basics, play in the sun (and shade) and best of all - have FUN! With an age-appropriate curriculum and a safe environment, our college baseball coaches will show your son or daughter what it takes to be a Lil' Bear through instruction, games, wiffle ball, and – because every kid wants to get in the pool – SWIM TIME!
