There's no business like snow business when artist Marion Nichols shares the unique art of cutting paper into intricate snowflakes at The Magic House on Saturday, January 12 and Sunday, January 13. Visitors are invited to join the blizzard of activity to discover how to snip fantastic flakes using their own designs. The Snowflake Workshop is a part of The Magic House's Visiting Artist Series. This drop-in workshop is free with museum admission and no reservations are required.

Printmaking Workshop at The Magic House

Kids can spend the morning with professional artist Adelia Parker creating their own book, T-shirt or wall hanging.

In collaboration with The Saint Louis Art Museum, kids ages 10 to 14 will experience printmaking inspired by the Art Museum’s collection.

Participants will learn the fundamentals of printmaking as they create original works of art using the processes of batiking, relief printing and monotyping. They'll spend the morning with professional artist Adelia Parker creating their own book, T-shirt or wall hanging.

Experimental Painting Workshop at The Magic House

With the help of The Foundry Art Centre and local Artist Fran Null, kids ages 6 to 9 will have the opportunity to learn non-traditional painting techniques and create masterpieces of their very own.

Fazio’s Rock Academy

Fazio’s Rock Academy is the summer destination for the aspiring rock star in your life! Campers attend one-week or two-week sessions (8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. daily) where they form a real band, choose a band name, write their own music, pose for a photo shoot and conclude with a live concert with special guest appearances by professional rock artists! Fazio's Rock Academy is for Guitarists, Vocalists, Bassists and Keyboardists between the ages of 9-17 years.

Two sessions are offered: July 15-19; and July 22-26. Each session is $399, which includes print music and a t-shirt. Ask about a discounted rate for two-week enrollment.
