Educator and leaders of scout and other youth-groups are invited to learn about programs, resources and free materials from St. Louis area museums, cultural institutions and organizations at the Resource Center Network’s annual Resource Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 17, from 4-6 p.m. in the Living World at the St. Louis Zoo.
Visitors of The Magic House will go out of their gourd as they watch pumpkin carver Craig Sanders demonstrate the art of pumpkin carving. Children will also be able to decorate their own miniature pumpkin.
While Sanders carves intricate designs into a giant orange squash, children will have the opportunity to decorate their own miniature pumpkin.
Pumpkin Carving is a part of The Magic House's Visiting Artist Series and will take place on Saturday, October 13 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, October 14 from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

princesses will have the opportunity to sip tea or apple juice, dine on assorted pastries, make a bejeweled crown to take home and enjoy a short, live production of Cinderella inside the Whitaker Theater at The Magic House.
Following the play, kids can see their favorite characters up close as Cinderella, Prince Charming and the Fairy Godmother visit with guests and sign autographs.

This year's event will include a special visit from more than 15 storybook characters from favorite children's tales such as The Wizard of Oz, Harry Potter; Peter Pan, Alice in Wonderland and more.
