Silly squirrels in your yard are fun to watch. Preschoolers can learn more about these playful animals through stories, crafts and games.

Families can learn how to become citizen scientists and participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count. This interactive program for families (and geared toward middle school-age kids) will show you how you can tally the birds that you see in your own backyard.
Anyone can participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count, whether you are a beginner or advanced birder. Just 15 minutes of time is required on the weekend of Feb. 15-16.
Dress for the weather, bring binoculars and bird feed guides to help gather data.
Will there be six more weeks of winter? Little ones (ages 3-6) will play games and make a groundhog puppet as they learn about Missouri groundhogs. Groundhogs are one of Missouri's true hibernators and a true winter sleepyhead. Dress for the weather as the group will venture outside outdoors to see if any groundhogs are out.
Being in the woods at night is an adventure. Ever wonder "who's" awake while you're sleeping? Come learn about owls, and we'll take a short hike in hopes of hearing one call back. For all ages.

Kids ages 8 and up can learn the beauty and diversity of nature
wildflowers in the nature-inspired art project. They'll study and learn to identify native wildflowers and use colored tissue paper to create works of art to take home. 9 a.m. to noon.
Families can experience the sounds of the night during a
moderate hike at the August A. Busch Memorial Conservation Area. We will hike the Busch Hiking/Biking Trail, which is approximately 3 and a half miles. 6 to 9 p.m.
Making natural crafts is a great way to spend time with your kids.
With a little imagination and a lot of fun, you can create several great natural decorations for the holiday season.
There will be one story and craft starting at the top of every hour from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come for one or stay for all four! For all ages.
Washington University in St. Louis Baseball hosts a week-long baseball day camp in which boys and girls will learn baseball basics, play in the sun (and shade) and best of all - have FUN! With an age-appropriate curriculum and a safe environment, our college baseball coaches will show your son or daughter what it takes to be a Lil' Bear through instruction, games, wiffle ball, and – because every kid wants to get in the pool – SWIM TIME!
