Full and half-day camps at COCA provide exploration and training in a variety of arts disciplines. Vocal music, poetry, cooking, hip-hop, ballet, acting, painting, songwriting, photography, videography and more! Plus, themed camps that combine disciplines in fun and creative ways. Camps are held for kids from ages 3 to 18 and taught by professional artists and instructors. COCA offers intensive programs for teens. Before and after care available.
Dancing in the Streets is an annual fall festival that showcases the beauty, art, athleticism and energy of dance. This outdoor, free festival features an array of talent on three stages. Audience members can stroll from stage to stage to see non-stop performances that include everything from tap, ballet and modern jazz to cultural favorites like salsa, clog and Bollywood. Create a music video for one of your favorite songs in this video production camp. Participants will form teams, select a song and cooperatively plan, direct and star in a music video. They will create artwork and props, shoot, add special effects and edit the music video. Campers will receive a DVD of the videos created in the camp. Using hand sewing and no sew techniques, create fashion accessories associated with your favorite pop icon. Whether you are a fan of Kiss, Michael Jackson, Lady Ga Ga or you want to create your own pop icon character to accessorize, you are sure to create something fun and fashionable to wear.
