Kids can test their endurance and have fun at the 5th Annual Kids' Triathlon on Sept. 23 sponsored by the City of Ballwin Parks and Recreation Department. Kids ages 5-12 can enter in age-specific categories for the event's 25-yard or 75-yard swim, one or two-mile bike ride and 1/2 or 1-mile run. Advance registration is required by Sept. 14. The three day festival continues with the 31st annual Ballwin Days 5k and 1 mile run at Vlasis Park beginning at 7:30 a.m. Ballwin Days opens at 11 a.m. and the Kids Korner is open from noon to 5 p.m. Activities include an art garden, balloon sculptures, Babaloo, the Tekno Bubble Van, sand sculptures, live music, pretty baby voting and more. Kids ages 4-9 can make holiday gifts and crafts, and have lots of fun too! Drop your kids off at The Pointe at Ballwin Commons on Saturday so they can make and wrap gifts in the Elves Workshop. Children will leave with a hand full of wrapped gifts for their loved ones. Celebrate the holidays with Santa, storytelling, complimentary food and refreshments, entertainment, shopping and lots more at Ballwin's Holiday Festival. Kids will be able to have their picture taken with Santa Claus, make crafts in Santa's workshop, hear stories, and take part in reindeer swim games if they choose. Parents can enjoy some holiday shopping from local vendors and craftspeople.

Fazio’s Rock Academy is the summer destination for the aspiring rock star in your life! Campers attend one-week or two-week sessions (8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. daily) where they form a real band, choose a band name, write their own music, pose for a photo shoot and conclude with a live concert with special guest appearances by professional rock artists! Fazio's Rock Academy is for Guitarists, Vocalists, Bassists and Keyboardists between the ages of 9-17 years.
Two sessions are offered: July 15-19; and July 22-26. Each session is $399, which includes print music and a t-shirt. Ask about a discounted rate for two-week enrollment.
