I am in search of an insect repellent that actually works.

If you want to enjoy nature this summer without investing in a citronella company, head inside to the Butterfly House in Faust Park. They have plenty of fun events for the whole family, and here are some to put on your to-do list for July.
When you are getting ready to end your day, many insects are just getting theirs started! Explore the habitats around the Butterfly House on a night hike to see who is out and about. Participants will assist in operating light traps as well as collecting and identifying insects. Advance registration required. 8:30 to 10 p.m. Ages 7 and over with an adult. $15 per child (includes one adult.) Butterfly House.
