Parents, teachers and therapists can learn ways to encourage language development in young children through old-fashioned play.

Parents, guardians, teachers, therapists and OT/PT/ST students are invited to attend this free seminar discussing ways to encourage laugage development in children through old-fashioned play.

Speech and language therapists will discuss the benefits of play, how play has changed over the years, how to facilitate lauguage development through play and how to encourage play at home. There will also be time for questions.

MUMC Circle of Friends Preschool Garage Sale

The public is welcome to shop this "garage sale" at the Manchester United Methodist Church. Shop for gently-worn, like new children's clothing, toys, furniture and games. All proceeds benefit the Circle of Friends Preschool.

The sale is from 7 a.m. to noon. Early bird shopping is open from 6:30 to 7 a.m. for a $5 cash entry fee. There is no admission fee after 7 a.m.

Lil' Bear Baseball Day Camp at Washington University

Washington University in St. Louis Baseball hosts a week-long baseball day camp in which boys and girls will learn baseball basics, play in the sun (and shade) and best of all - have FUN! With an age-appropriate curriculum and a safe environment, our college baseball coaches will show your son or daughter what it takes to be a Lil' Bear through instruction, games, wiffle ball, and – because every kid wants to get in the pool – SWIM TIME!
