Springtime is the season for baby animals. Learn about the many different kinds of animals born this time of year. You will be able to take a little bit of spring home with you. Little Acorns classes are an excellent way to help prepare your child for pre-school or kindergarten! Please dress for the weather. One adult per child, please.

Drop in and explore Missouri's mammals at Shaw Nature Reserve. A variety of pelts and other items will be used to teach folks about the lives and adaptations of the Show Me State's furbearers.

Through the citizen scientist project, FrogWatch, we will learn about these fascinating amphibians and be able to identify them by their calls.
The first 600 visitors at the Missouri Botanical Garden will receive a free tree, plant or sapling in honor of Arbor Day. Master gardeners will be on hand to answer questions and give advice on planting trees in the spring.

Watching a full moon rise over the Shaw Nature Reserve is quite the sight! Take a 2 hour stroll through evening and into the early night. Sunset will occur around 7:20, and will be followed by moonrise at 8:02. Apart from viewing this natural spectacle, you will also learn about crepuscular and nocturnal animals. In addition, we will play a series of games (fun for adults too!) that test your senses.

Garden reopens for the season, and this weekend marks the eighth season for this beloved children's adventureland.
Like a lot of parents, I struggle through the final weeks of
winter. I’m done with the freezing temperatures, the inevitable flus and fevers, and the seemingly never-ending days spent entirely indoors with children in such desperate need of physical activity that they’ve taken to skydiving off my couch.
Fazio’s Rock Academy is the summer destination for the aspiring rock star in your life! Campers attend one-week or two-week sessions (8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. daily) where they form a real band, choose a band name, write their own music, pose for a photo shoot and conclude with a live concert with special guest appearances by professional rock artists! Fazio's Rock Academy is for Guitarists, Vocalists, Bassists and Keyboardists between the ages of 9-17 years.
Two sessions are offered: July 15-19; and July 22-26. Each session is $399, which includes print music and a t-shirt. Ask about a discounted rate for two-week enrollment.
