Bring the kids to enjoy a free movie, holiday-themed activities, craft and giveaways at St. Charles Community College on Dec. 1.
This free, family-friendly event will be held in the lounge and auditorium of the Daniel J. Conoyer Social Sciences Building on the college's Cottleville campus.
Doors open at 3 p.m. for holiday themed activities, crafts and giveaways, and the movie Polar Express (rated PG) will begin at 4:30 p.m. A surprise visit from Santa will take place after the movie. Free popcorn and hot chocolate will be served during the movie.
Your whole family can participate in the first-ever Howl for
the Homeless 5K run and children's Monster Mile fun run benefitting Sts. Joachim and Ann Care Service, which works to prevent homelessness and hunger, and helps families in crisis.
Prizes will be awarded in all age categories, and all participants of the kids' Monster Mile Fun Run will receive an award.
Catch a free showing of the Disney Pixar hit movie Brave

Bring blankets and chairs, free popcorn with be provided. The movie begins at 8 p.m. Rain location is the College Center Gymnasium.
