Birthday party packages are available at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House on Saturdays and Sundays, May 1 through September 30. Kids can explore the 8,000-square-foot indoor Tropical Conservatory, where more than 60 species of the world's butterflies are in free flight, then meander through the exhibit hall to see creepy-crawly creatures, from cockroaches to scorpions to tarantulas. In the reserved party room, each child receives a decorate-it-yourself butterfly cookie, drink, goody bag, and the birthday child receives a special gift.
Have fun in the Summer Studios Art Camps at Craft Alliance for ages 4-18! Sculpt clay or work on a potter's wheel, make colorful glass beads or silver and copper jewelry, learn to paint and draw, discover computer arts, weave with colorful yarns and create wearable art as you learn about textiles of the world. For teens try the afternoon intensives and become a Summer Camp Intern. One-week camps begin June 4 and run through August 10.
