At this event, all ages can make art in the studios of Craft Alliance, 6640 Delmar, watch a red-hot Raku pull, shop late in the Gallery Shop, see exhibits and learn about classes and camps. 6:30-8:30 p.m. Activities include:
Free for all:
• Throw clay on a pottery wheel
• Paint with dyes on a large silk banner
• See wood turned on a lathe
• Watch a red-hot Raku pull
• Learn about classes & camps available for all ages
For a small fee:
• In the Metals Studio, form a copper enamel charm (ages 10 and up)
• In the Glass Studio create a glass bead on a torch and mandrel (ages 10 and up)
The Galleries of Craft Alliance will be open late
• Attend a free public opening from 5-7pm in the
Charak Gallery of an exhibit featuring the
artwork of the Crafting-a-Future Students.

Have fun in the Summer Studios Art Camps at Craft Alliance for ages 4-18! Sculpt clay or work on a potter's wheel, make colorful glass beads or silver and copper jewelry, learn to paint and draw, discover computer arts, weave with colorful yarns and create wearable art as you learn about textiles of the world. For teens try the afternoon intensives and become a Summer Camp Intern. One-week camps begin June 4 and run through August 10.
