Kids Walking 4 Kids is a celebration of hope working toward helping teens and kids suffering from depression, and preventing suicide among young people.
It is the annual fundraiser for CHADS Coalition (CHADS stands for Communities Healing Adolescent Depression and Suicide), a St. Louis non-profit. Funds raised will support depression and suicide research and prevention programs, and help young people know what to do if they become depressed or suicidal.
In addition to the walk, the event features live bands, a rock climbing wall, games and activities, food, and a sunset luminary walk honoring those who have lost their lives to suicide or who continue to struggle with depression. The event will end with a spectacular fireworks show.
In honor of Armed Forces Day, CHADS Coalition is partnering with the miitary and is pleased to welcome Mojor General Mark Graham and his wife, Carol, as keynote speakers. They will share their inspiring story.
