The Kirkwood School District is hosting is second annual Community and Parent Forum on Drug and Alcohol Abuse on June 20 at North Kirkwood Middle School. Parents, educators, counselors and teens are invited to discuss the problem of drug and alcohol abuse, including heroin, among youth and how the Kirkwood School District is responding. Parents, middle and high school students are encouraged to attend.
The guest speaker is Catie Deck, a former student at Kirkwood High School. Other speakers include representatives from Preferred Family Health, NCADA, BJC Behavioral Health and the Kirkwood Police Department.
