Give Kids a Smile Great Minds and Hearts Trivia Night

Event Date:
Fri, 04/20/2012

Give Kids a Smile will hold its fifth annual “Great Minds and Hearts” Trivia Night on Friday, April 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Maryland Heights Center Auditorium. All proceeds raised from the event will help to fund the organization’s bi-annual dental clinics which provide free and critical comprehensive dental care for local children in need. Those interested in participating or helping to sponsor the event can call (636) 397-6453 or download a registration form at www.gkas.org.

Light snacks and drinks will be provided. Tables of 10 can be reserved for $20 per person. Attendance prizes will be awarded. Three sponsorship levels are also available – Trivia Buff ($60), Trivia Scholar ($120) and Trivia Genius ($250). Sponsorships include two, four or 10 free admissions, respectively, and special SMILE recognition. Trivia Buff, Scholar or Genius contributors can enjoy additional recognition by sponsoring one round of trivia for an additional $150.

Give Kids A Smile has provided 11,170 St. Louis area children with over $5 million in dental services thanks to the help of more 9,400 volunteers since 2002. At each clinic, toddlers and school-aged children are seen by dental professionals. Comprehensive services include X-rays, professional cleanings, fluoride treatments and sealants, as well as restorations, endodontics and oral surgery as needed. Those under age four receive special, age-appropriate care in the Tiny Smiles area of the clinic. While major dental work is accomplished during clinic visits,

Give Kids A Smile also goes to great lengths to create a loving atmosphere full of fun entertainment and activities. Delta Dental of Missouri’s fun-loving characters including Tooth Wizard, Panda and a Spanish-speaking Tooth Fairy stroll the clinic floor, while face painters, balloon artists, a juggler, games and music captivate the kids in Delta Dental’s entertainment area. Children leave with prizes, a dental care kit, a nutritious sack lunch and a children’s book donated by the St. Louis County Library Foundation.

To register for the “Great Minds and Hearts” Trivia Night or to become a sponsor, call (636) 397-6453 or download a registration form at www.gkas.org and mail it to Give Kids A Smile, 340 Mid Rivers Dr, Ste. A, St. Peters, MO 63376.
