On Saturday, November 5, your family is invited to the Delta Dental
Health Theatre for a day of interactive games, face painting, balloon art, shows and family fun. Donate your unopened, packaged, leftover Halloween candy for a chance to win great prizes. All candy will be sent to our troops!
Kids can also meet Delta Dental’s Tooth Wizard and PlaqueMan characters, the Tooth Fairy, Buzz Lightyear, Dora the Explorer and Diego. Dress in your favorite costume and have your picture taken in the photo booth. Besides candy, canned food will be will be collected at the event for Operation Food Search.
Area schools, clubs and organizations are also encouraged to get involved. The participating classroom, club or organization that surrenders the most candy by weight will receive free admission to a 2012 show at the Delta Dental Health Theatre. The school with the highest attendance will receive a $250 donation to buy books for their library, courtesy of Delta Dental of Missouri.
Through the non-profit A Soldier’s Wish List, all collected candy (along with toothbrushes) will be sent to the troops.
The Great Candy Exchange is free and is taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Delta Dental Health Theatre on Laclede’s Landing. To learn more about this event, visit the Theatre’s website or contact them at (314) 241-7391.
Washington University in St. Louis Baseball hosts a week-long baseball day camp in which boys and girls will learn baseball basics, play in the sun (and shade) and best of all - have FUN! With an age-appropriate curriculum and a safe environment, our college baseball coaches will show your son or daughter what it takes to be a Lil' Bear through instruction, games, wiffle ball, and – because every kid wants to get in the pool – SWIM TIME!
