Celebrate Halloween in The Loop with the 3rd Annual 
Great Pumpkin Carve & Glow. The Moonrise Hotel and Eclipse Restaurant invite all ages to join the free pumpkin carving festivities from 3 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. in the Moonrise Hotel courtyard at 6177 Delmar in The Loop.
No need to bring supplies with you – pumpkins, basic carving tools and decorating materials will be provided. Participants may take part in the festivities in The Loop, or carve ahead of time and drop their pumpkins off.
The pumpkin carving and family-friendly Halloween merriment runs from 3 to 6 p.m. At 6 p.m., all pumpkins will be put on display for the official lighting and judging of pumpkins. Prizes will be awarded in multiple categories.
To celebrate the cooler weather, complimentary hot cider will be served, and other fall food and beverages will be available for purchase. Kaldi’s Coffee and Schlafly Beer will also provide free samples for thirsty pumpkin carving-goers. An after-party will follow at the Rooftop Terrace Bar at the Moonrise Hotel. Fazio’s Rock Academy is the summer destination for the aspiring rock star in your life! Campers attend one-week or two-week sessions (8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. daily) where they form a real band, choose a band name, write their own music, pose for a photo shoot and conclude with a live concert with special guest appearances by professional rock artists! Fazio's Rock Academy is for Guitarists, Vocalists, Bassists and Keyboardists between the ages of 9-17 years.
Two sessions are offered: July 15-19; and July 22-26. Each session is $399, which includes print music and a t-shirt. Ask about a discounted rate for two-week enrollment.
