The St. Louis County Library Foundation’s Reading Garden Event Series is pleased to present St. Louis’ most popular young adult author Ridley Pearson for a discussion and signing of the latest installment in his popular series “Kingdom Keepers IV: Power Play” at 7 p.m. at Library Headquarters, 1640 S. Lindbergh Blvd.

This high-tech tale will thrill every kid who has ever dreamed of sneaking into Disney World after dark. In the fourth installment in this gripping series, life is beginning to settle down for Disney World’s five teen Kingdom Keepers, but then an intriguing video arrives to Philby's computer at school. It's a call for action: the Overtakers, a group of Disney villains, seem to be plotting to attempt a rescue of two of their leaders, both of whom the Kingdom Keepers have hidden away following a violent encounter in Epcot. A staged attack by new Overtakers at Downtown Disney, startles the group.

To add to their troubles, one of their own, Charlene, is acting strange of late. Has she tired of her role as a Kingdom Keeper or is there something more sinister at play? When she is caught sneaking into Epcot, Finn and Philby take action. A dark cloud in the Kingdom Keeper era is unfolding, and with dissention in their own ranks, it's unclear if there's any chance of escape.

St. Louis writer Ridley Pearson is the award-winning co-author, along with Dave Barry, of the “Peter and the Starcatchers” series. In addition to the Kingdom Keepers series, Pearson is also the author of the young adult thrillers” Steel Trapp: The Challenge” and “Steel Trapp: The Academy.” He has written more than twenty bestselling crime novels for adults.
