a concert for her biggest fans — children — in St. Louis. Sponsored by Fontbonne University’s CampF.R.E.S.H., Jayne’s performance will take place in Medaille Meadow on the university’s campus from 6:30 –7:30 p.m. The performance is free and open to the public, but please RSVP to Kim Ross at kross@fontbonne.edu.
Jump with Jill is a rock and roll concert about nutrition that travels to schools across the nation. It combats childhood obesity through original music, movement-based learning and a central character, Jill, and it uses the sametools normally used to sell junk food to teach kids about healthy habits.
“According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, 31 percent of children in Missouri are considered obese,” said Dr. Cheryl Houston, director of Fontbonne University’s dietetics program. “As dietitians, we strive to find fun and effective ways to help kids learn healthy eating habits early on, so they can live long and productive lives. Jill does exactly this in an unforgettable way.”
Jayne is a registered dietitian (RD) and holds a master’s degree in nutrition education from Columbia University. She is also a seasoned musician, actress and performer. Jump with Jill combines her experience in the fields of nutrition and performance to create a high-energy show promoting healthy eating and living for kids.
