Kids can take part in one of the largest skateboard competitions in the midwest on Aug. 11. SkateFest will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Youth Activity Park, 7801 Highway N in Dardeen Prairie. Skaters of all ages and from throughout the region will compete for prizes, and every participants will receive products from Wood N' Wheels and Live Hard Skate Shops.
SkateFest will crown the best skaters in Street and Bowl Jam competitions, Highest Ollie, Best Trick, and Game of SK8 contests. Events are broken into age categories and prizes will be awarded in each category. Kids of all ages can enter.
The Youth Activity Park's 33,000 square-foot outdoor skate park is the largest of its kind in the Midwest. It's equiped with street courses, trick rails, and bowls, and provides a safe environment for all extreme sports enthusiasts.
