The St. Louis County Library Welcomes Children' Author Jon Scieszka

Caldecott honor winning children's writer Jon Scieszka presents the third installment in his zany alien adventure series: SPHDZ Book #3. In the book, Michael K. and the Spaceheadz have almost recruited 3.14 million earthlings, but there is still a lot to be done. Agent Umber of the AAA (Anti Alien Agency) is relentless and the unseen leader of the Spaceheadz turns out to be the last person anyone expected!

Books for signing will be available from Pudd'nHead Books.

Doors open at 6 p.m. and the program begins at 7. Early arrival is recommended; seating is limited.

Craft Alliance Summer Camps

Have fun in the Summer Studios Art Camps at Craft Alliance for ages 4-18! Sculpt clay or work on a potter's wheel, make colorful glass beads or silver and copper jewelry, learn to paint and draw, discover computer arts, weave with colorful yarns and create wearable art as you learn about textiles of the world. For teens try the afternoon intensives and become a Summer Camp Intern. One-week camps begin June 4 and run through August 10.
