Put on your Spock ears and come to the Science Center on the first Friday evening of each month during the run of Star Trek: The Exhibition! In addition to touring the exhibition for a special evening rate, you can participate in a Public Telescope Viewing outside the James S. McDonnell Planetarium and see the new Star Trek-inspired Planetarium show. Learn more about how science fiction has inspired scientific endeavors by going on a Star Trek Scavenger Hunt throughout the Science Center’s galleries. Along the way, take the human vs. android challenge in the Cyberville Gallery, learn about real-word space medicine in the Life Science Lab and experiment with Einstein’s theory of space time with an interactive gravity well. At 9 p.m., gather in the Fizz Factory for music and at 10 p.m. head to the OMNIMAX® theater to watch a Star Trek film. The movie will change each month. Each Star Trek First Friday will feature a special activity. Parking will be free for Star Trek First Friday evenings. 6 to 10 p.m. All ages.Tickets for non-member Adult/Seniors are $14 and non-member children ages 5-to-12 are $12. St. Louis Science Center.

Fazio’s Rock Academy is the summer destination for the aspiring rock star in your life! Campers attend one-week or two-week sessions (8:50 a.m. to 3:20 p.m. daily) where they form a real band, choose a band name, write their own music, pose for a photo shoot and conclude with a live concert with special guest appearances by professional rock artists! Fazio's Rock Academy is for Guitarists, Vocalists, Bassists and Keyboardists between the ages of 9-17 years.
Two sessions are offered: July 15-19; and July 22-26. Each session is $399, which includes print music and a t-shirt. Ask about a discounted rate for two-week enrollment.
