Enjoy a night of stargazing at Fussner Field in Manchester. The St. Louis Astronomical Society (SLAS) will have volunteers at Fussner Field (910 Hazelfalls Dr.) on Thursday, March 29 at 7:30 p.m. to share their knowledge. This program will include a telescope viewing session of the following: a 42% illuminated waxing moon; the planets Jupiter, Venus and Mars; typical early spring constellations like Orion, Perseus, Taurus, Auriga Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Ursa Major, Ursa Minor and Draco; and stars like Pollus, Regulus, Arcturus Polaris and Capella.
This program is free, but please call the Park Office at 636-391-6326, ext. 400, to let us know if you will be attending. Attendance is somewhat limited. Children are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult. Restrooms are not available at Fussner Field. More information: www.manchestermo.gov
Washington University in St. Louis Baseball hosts a week-long baseball day camp in which boys and girls will learn baseball basics, play in the sun (and shade) and best of all - have FUN! With an age-appropriate curriculum and a safe environment, our college baseball coaches will show your son or daughter what it takes to be a Lil' Bear through instruction, games, wiffle ball, and – because every kid wants to get in the pool – SWIM TIME!
