Rangers from the St. Louis County and Kirkwood parks departments will teach the basics of fishing. Learn how to tie knots, identify a variety of fish species and rig fishing poles for safe and successful fishing. Meet at Blue Heron Shelter. All fishing equipment is provided. Ackermann's Swim Program has been teaching children ages 4 to 11 the life skill of swimming and water safety in Kirkwood for over 60 years. Our non-competitive, safe teaching environment builds confidence and self-esteem.
Group swim lessons take place in four heated pools with different water levels for progressive, safe learning. Enroll in one-week or two-week sessions. Hours are 9:15 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday through Friday, with drop off and pick up at the curb. Visit ASPKirkwood.com to download an application.
