The Academy of the Sacred Heart is the oldest and largest private elementary school in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Founded in 1818 by St. Rose Philippine Duchesne, a Religious of the Sacred Heart from France, the academy has for 190 years embraced the goals of Sacred Heart education that seek to educate the whole child. Andrews Academy is a private independent school for students in junior kindergarten (4-year-olds) through grade 6. We encourage children to maximize their intellectual, physical, social and emotional growth by offering an advanced curriculum in a traditional setting.
