de Ninos gives children a second language and a head start on a
fulfilling future. The Montessori program is for preschoolers ages 18
months to 5 years. The school offers full and half-day programs with
daily language instruction and before- and after-school care. Saturday
Spanish classes and a Mothers' Day Out program are also offered. The
school environment resembles home: a comfortable, peaceful, safe and
stimulating space where children are encouraged with purposeful
activities that help develop a desire to learn. Director Veronica
Greene has more than 27 years of teaching experience and is an
AMI-Certified Montessori teacher.
City Speech specializes in pediatric speech and language development including: articulation, phonology, childhood apraxia of speech, fluency, receptive and expressive language, narrative discourse and auditory processing. It provides speech and langage services to the St. Louis Public Schools, charter schools, Missouri Department of Disability Determinations and private clients. City Speech has been incorporated since 1994 and is under the direction of Lori R. Linder, M.A., CCC/SLP. It's a Missouri licensed pediatric speech pathology provider and a trusted member of the St. Louis community for over 15 years. International Schoolhouse is a language-immersion preschool for children ages 2-5. We don't teach Spanish, we teach IN Spanish! Our program provides a natural setting for your child to learn a second language, much in the same way they learn their first - by being surrounded by it. Children explore knowledge and concepts in a variety of subjects in a rich, stimulating and nurturing environment where all activities are conducted in Spanish. Everyone is welcome and children are not expected to have any prior familiarity with the Spanish language. The Spanish Clubhouse for Kids offers Spanish and other language classes for children ages 6 months to 10 years. The Parent and Child Classes, for ages 6 months to 3 years, focus on repetition, imitation and introduction of fundamental Spanish vocabulary. Children and their caregivers experience Spanish music and language through songs, movement, finger plays, puppets, instruments and play. Multi-age classes for children ages 3 to 10 are separated into specific age groups to maximize the learning environment. Weekly 45-minute classes focus on predictable routines, theme-related lessons, art, age-appropriate games and vocabulary, and easy immersion into Spanish. Take-home materials help parents learn and reinforce Spanish at home. The Spanish Clubhouse for Kids also offers Spanish enrichment programs for preschools, daycare centers and elementary schools.
