Coveting a fast Italian sports car is no longer reserved for 40-something men in the throws of a midlife crisis. Many men, women, teenagers and even kids would love to hop in the driver’s seat of a fierce car. I personally believe this trend began when Magnum P.I. and his red Ferrari came crashing through our television sets. Check out some high-end vehicles at Kemp Auto Museum’s second Ferraris on the Piazza event. Local collectors will be displaying their classic and contemporary Ferraris and other fine Italian automobiles. Food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Ferraris on the Piazza is happening on Sunday, September 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Kemp Auto Museum. This all-ages event is free and open to the public. Museum admission is reduced to $5 for adults and $3 for children during for the event. For more information, visit their website or call (636) 537-1718.

If Ferrari’s aren’t your speed, head over to The Magic House’s Model A Display. Members from the Missouri Valley Region Model A Restorers Club will be showing off their vintage vehicles on the museum’s exhibit patio. Club members will be on-hand to answer questions about these popular predecessors to the Model T.

And just for future reference, The Magic House’s annual Big Truck Day is happening in October. Kids can explore a backhoe, skid steer loader, dump truck, giant crane, fire truck and other large trucks. Your ticket price includes a hot dog meal, decorating a construction hat and all-day admission to The Magic House.

The Magic House’s Model A Display will also be happening on Sunday, September 12 from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. This event is free with museum admission. Big Truck Day is taking place on Saturday, October 9 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and Sunday, October 10 at 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $12 for Magic House members and $15 for non-members. Reservations may be made in advance. For more information on either of these events or to reserve a spot for Big Truck Day, visit their website or call (314) 822-8900.

P.S. Don’t forget that Sunday, September 12 is also Grandparent’s Day!
